Religious Education and Faith Formation

A Vision – A Mission

As a parish we are advocates for the essential role of the Church’s catechetical ministry which is the mission of spreading the Good News of the saving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The educational programs of St. Peter Church seek to provide adults, youth, and children with the knowledge, experiences, and skills necessary to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus. In keeping with their age, they will assume responsibility as vital members of the parish and be able to participate in the Church’s mission to proclaim, celebrate, and serve the coming of God’s reign.

We at St. Peter Religious Education believe that our purpose is to assist the parents in the religious education of their children. The parent is the child’s first teacher, having educated the child in the most formative years; and the Religious Education staff hopes to continue that Christian formation begun in the home.

The St. Peter Religious Education Preschool, Elementary, and Junior High Programs will support and assist our students in their growth toward a mature faith and guide them in living Catholic Christian lives. We are co-workers ad need to work as a team, reinforcing one another.
