Saint Peter Early Childhood Center

Our Mission andĀ Goals

The St. Peter Early Childhood Center (ECC) was founded in 1994 to fill a growing need in the St. Peter Community for a Catholic-based preschool education. Within a few short years, the St. Peter ECC offered traditional preschool educational services combined with an extended day option for parents who work. Presently, the St. Peter ECC offers traditional two and three preschool programs with optional extended day options as well as a Kindergarten Readiness Program for those children who are five years old and for a variety of reasons, the parents elect for their child to have an additional year of preparation prior to starting kindergarten.

Our goal is to provide a learning experiences in a Catholic environment for the preschooler. We challenge our children with a curriculum developed through a teaming arrangement with our teachers, parents and elementary school kindergarten teachers along with our community members to maximize their physical, social, emotional and intellectual potential.

Our experienced and dedicated staff instill in our students the values of respect and responsibility that are crucial to their success both in and out of the classroom. Our teaming concept extends to the preschooler’s parents who have the right and responsibility to share in all decisions affecting the care and education of their children.

We encourage parents to visit and participate in activities. Our Centers are teaming with our community organizations which involves visits to police and fire stations along with visits from the animal shelter, just to mention a few.
